Reverie (An Original Poem)

I never asked you

To be my friend,

I never asked you

To steal my heart.

I never asked you

To hold my hand,

I never feared

We’d be apart.

Yet you came as a thief,

In the dead of night.

You came as a thief,

And now I can see.

Here we are,

Dancing in the night.

Here we are,

Dancing in reverie.
