The Time Assassins: Announcement

Hey, y’all!

So, as you might know if you’ve followed my blog during any November, I’m a huge fan of NaNoWriMo, as well as someone with precisely 0 discipline and motivation…so I tend to start the national writing event strong, and decide within the first three days that- guess what- my book sucks.

This year is gonna be no different, but I might as well hype it up regardless!

I actually recently listened to a historic mystery author talk about how to write history using the notebook method. Didn’t really learn anything new, as I’m pretty good at knowing how to write, yet I did find some inspiration to get me started.

So, announcing “The Time Assassins” story! (Not sure if it’s gonna be an actual novel or a short story, but we’ll see!)

I will release more details in the coming months, but basically, here’s a summary:

Time travel has been invented by a group of historians and scientists known as the Collective. The Collective refuses to share their technology with anyone else, even after they find evidence of time-traveling assassins in the past. The Collective finds evidence of an assassin plot to assassinate a man who appears to be a mere soldier, unimportant to history. But they know the assassins are planning something bigger, and so they send their two best prepared agents to investigate, and to prevent the assassination in an effort to preserve history.

  1. First off, this sounds pretty amazing and something I’d be very interested in reading. I always love reading time travel stories.

Everyone’s book sucks when they start it. Like you, I have zilch motivation or discipline. Revising is what makes the short story and book great, and guess what? What people think sucks doesn’t always suck, or at least, it doesn’t always have to.

Well, that’s my optimism leaking. I will be back to cynicism shortly…

But, you got this. Even if you don’t, you do.

    1. Lol I always enjoy writing them xD

True, true…but personally, for me, it’s impossible to get myself to write something if I hate it, and I’m also a bit of a perfectionist. So, yeah, doesn’t exactly work together too well lol
